Adele and Jana were at their at usual hangout, humming and singing away when a teacher appeared. It was one of the music teachers, Ms Kong. She was walking past the hall when she overheard the singing. She asked the 2 gals what they were doing behind the hall. They kept quiet, not knowing how they should answer. Then Ms Kong asked if it was they who were singing earlier on. They nodded their heads. She asked them to sing solo. They hesitated but did as told. Ms Kong liked what she heard especially the part when Jana raised her voive to reach a high pitch. She asked if they would like to be in the school choir. Adele wasn't keen and turned down the invitation. Jana agreed and was excited that she was going to do something that she had always enjoyed but didn't dare to.

Jana had to stay back for choir practice and Adele had to walk home by herself again. She decided to loiter at a nearby plaza instead of going straight home since she would be alone at home. She bought an ice-cream cone and was enjoying it when a guy bumped into her, knocking her cone off her hand. As they came face to face with each other, they had a great shock. It was Mark who had run into her. Mark didn't recognise her initially but somehow he remembered that obese figure. Surprisingly, instead of swearing at her for being clumsy, he apologised for his recklessness. Adele who was still in a daze, couldn't believe that those words had actually come out of his mouth. Mark offered to buy her another ice-cream but Adele told him to forget about it. Then he suggested going for a drink to update each other on their well-being. Adele who couldn't think of a reason to reject him, agreed.

Mark seemed like a changed person. He had dropped out of school after failing his PSLE for the third time and had been working as a salesman selling handphone accessories. Though he didn't mention about her crush for him, he did seek her forgiveness for having been so mean to her and calling her a fatso. Adele claimed that she had already forgotten about the whole incident and wouldn't want to talk about the past. Then it was time for Adele to be home and she was surprised when Mark expressed his wish to meet up with her again and asked her for her contact number. Adele couldn't sleep that night and couldn't wait to see him - her first love, again.

As Jana was busy practising for a upcoming peformance, she was spending less time with Adele who didn't mind it a bit. In fact, she was having a such a great time with Mark that she almost forgot about Jana. Mark's flexible working hours allowed him to be able to meet up with Adele almost everyday. They would shop, go to the movies and dine like a pair of lovebirds. Then 2 weeks after their reunion, Mark appeared at the main gate of her school as usual. He suggested that they go over to his place to watch VCD for a change. Adele had no objection.

The house was empty and Mark asked her to make herself at home as his parents wouldn't be back till late in the evening. As Adele seated herself on the sofa, Mark went into his room to get the VCDs. Adele was caught totally off guard by what Mark was screening. It was a X-rated movie. Adele's feelings went from one of shock to embarrassment and finally to disgust. She voiced her discomfort watching such movies. Mark turned off the player, agreeing that it was distasteful. He added he had actually grown sick of watching the acts from a tv monitor, he would prefer to see it 'live' and to be able to feel the real stuff. Adele didn't get what he was driving at until she noticed Mark's gaze was on her chest. Just then Mark ...........................................................
